There are only two rules:
1. You can only pick five musicians (they have to play different instruments (rhythm guitar counts as a separate instrument).
2. They have to have played in 70's, not 1980, not 1969...well ok 1965 - 1979.

keys: herbie hancock
bass: jaco pastorius
(james jamerson's too moody--even MORE than jaco)
gtr: wah wah watson (aka melvin ragin--he's got that "thing" he does...)
drums: bernard "pretty" purdie (i thought about mike clark of headhunters fame, but pretty's got a few more tricks up his sleeve i think...)
percussion: manolo badrena (i thought about mongo santamaria or willie bobo, but those guys were really only known for playing conga or timbales--and tito puente's too much of a ham.)
